student organizations

The Department of Architecture is home to four registered student organizations. These are the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS), Alpha Rho Chi (APX), the Construction Specifications Institute Student Affiliate (CSI-S), and the International Interior Design Association Campus Center (IIDA).

These organizations sponsor various events throughout the academic year including workshops, special lectures, and site visits to architecture and design offices and built and under construction projects. They offer an opportunity to meet other students and practicing professionals through participation in both educational and recreational activities.

Membership in AIAS,  CSI-S, and IIDA is open to any student in architecture, interior design, or a related area of study. Students may join at any time.  The Imhotep Chapter of Alpha Rho Chi (APX), the national coeducational fraternity for students in architecture and the fine arts, conducts Rush in the spring.
